چکیده
This work reports a sensitive amperometric biosensor for organophosphate pesticides (OPs) fabricated by modifying a glassy carbon electrode with acetylcholinesterase (AChE) immobilized on ionic liquid-functionalized graphene (IL-G). The functionalized graphene sheets had good dispersibility and long-term stability in various solvents. The as-prepared biosensor showed high affinity to acetylthiocholine (ATCl) with a Michaelis-Menten constant (K(m)) value of 0.77 mM. Furthermore, based on the inhibition by OPs of the enzymatic activity of the immobilized AChE, and using carbaryl as a model compound, the inhibition of carbaryl was proportional to its concentration ranging from 0.0025 to 0.48 and 0.48 to 1.42 μg mL(-1) with a detection limit of 0.8 ng mL(-1) (S/N = 3). The developed biosensor exhibited a good performance for OPs detection, including good reproducibility and acceptable stability, which provided a new and promising tool for the analysis of enzyme inhibitors.

Carboxylic acid, amine and amide functionalized CNTs were obtained by acid treatment, ethylenediamine or tetraethylenepentamine chemically modification and ammonia plasma treatmen...
متن کاملElectrocatalytic oxidation of ethanol on the surface of the POAP/ phosphoric acid-doped ionic liquid-functionalized graphene oxide nanocomposite film
In situ electropolymerization as a facile synthetic procedure has been used to obtain highly active compositesof ionic liquid functionalized graphene oxide(FGO)and poly ortho aminophenol (POAP). Surface and electrochemical analysis have been used for characterisation of FGO-POAP composite film. Nickel was accumulated by complex formation between Ni (II) in solution and amines sites in the polym...

متن کاملCharacterization, direct electrochemistry, and amperometric biosensing of graphene by noncovalent functionalization with picket-fence porphyrin.
Reduced graphene oxide (RGO) was prepared and functionalized with picket-fence porphyrin, 5,10,15,20-tetrakis [αααα-2-trismethylammoniomethylphenyl] porphyrin iron(III) pentachloride (FeTMAPP), through π-π interactions. The resulting nanocomposite was characterized by atomic force microscopy (AFM); transmission electron microscopy (TEM); contact angle measurements; and fluorescence, Raman, and ...
متن کاملAmperometric Biosensors for Real Time Assays of Organophosphates
An amperometric biosensor based on acetylcholinesterase (AChE) immobilized in gelatin was used to develop an assay for the organophosphate paraoxon. The more traditional manner employing preincubation was used for comparison between measurement procedures, although the aim of the study was to examine the performance of the biosensor for real time monitoring of organophosphates. The biosensor wa...
